Two-Part Beginners' Tarot Workshop

  • Una Biologicals 4322 Butler Street Pittsburgh, PA, 15201 United States

Tarot tells the story of the Fool's journey through life. In this two-part beginners' tarot workshop, you'll learn to use tarot cards to understand the narrative of yourself, and your journey, in the world. Join Erin Nihiser--who, in collaboration with artist Genevieve Barbee-Turner, is creating a Pittsburgh-based tarot deck--in delving into a brief history and philosophy of tarot, and learn some of the basic symbolism of the Major and Minor Arcana. In each class we will practice interpreting the cards based on imagery and your intuition, and then we will apply what we've learned through paired readings. You don't need a deck to attend, but if you have one, please bring it!

Workshop 1: Thursday, March 30th, 6:30-8:30pm
The Major Arcana: Understanding the archetypes of the Fools journey.

Workshop 2: Thursday, April 27th, 6:30-8:30pm
The Minor Arcana: Working with elemental energies and how to interpret the suits and numbers in a reading.

$25 for the pair of classes, or $15 each. (You do not need to attend both classes, but please be aware that the classes build on one another.) Registration required; Sign up by calling 412-621-4126 or visit Classes & Workshops.
